CONSTRUCTION: AN ENVIRONMENTALLY CONSCIOUS DECISION

Trefoil is committed to building green, utilizing materials and systems which will max
imize energy efficiency. We are an ENERGY STAR® Partner and
have received an ENERGY STAR rating for 1690
Sumneytown Pike at Towamencin Corporate Center in Lansdale, PA
for two years running.
Trefoil is in the process of collecting data for the
other office buildings in the portfolio in order to achieve the
ENERGY STAR rating (a certain history has to be established to
be awarded the top rating).

The ENERGY STAR rating illustrates the efficiencies of building systems and the sincere interest of the landlord in providing an economical environment for its tenants in these days of energy deregulation. Commercial buildings that earn the ENERGY STAR use an average of 40 percent less energy than typical buildings and also release 35 percent less carbon dioxide into the atmosphere. Trefoil is committed to improving energy performance by managing energy strategically across the entire organization and by making cost-effective improvements to our buildings. The net result will be reduced out of pocket costs for our tenants, while promoting sustainability.
- The LEED® igreen building certificate program is the nationally accepted benchmark for design, construction, and operation of green buildings. Using this system, tenants can earn LEED credits toward one of four levels of certification: "Certified," "Silver," "Gold," and "Platinum." These levels are based on a point system including the following considerations: Sustainable Sites, Energy & Atmosphere, Critical components within these criteria include specifications of lighting and lighting controls, paint, carpet, existing conditions, and required build-out.
- The office building will be registered, satisfying building core and shell requirement criteria for LEED certification. Additional costs for specific certifications and commissioning (i.e. LEED Certified or higher) can be addressed if a tenant is interested in pursuing this upgrade. Please note that Trefoil has specific, recent experience with the request for green properties having completed LEED Corporate Interior projects for other office tenants, including American Honda Finance Corporations’s building at the Commons at Little Falls which achieved an LEED Gold certification.
